In the casino industry, working with card in, card out, coin in, coin out and par values of machines doesn’t facilitate any business process.

Jobs vs. Career vs. Work

In all of the casinos I have worked in, there is always a distinction that can be drawn between the people who are there to do their job and those who are building a career. The people who are there to do a job look at the task at hand and ask themselves “how can I accomplish the task within the time allotted”. People who are there working on their career ask themselves “how can I accomplish this task and what can I learn from it.”
